What is SuperMoves?

SuperMoves is a new early-years club where kids play games to engage their brains!

The program combines physical and strategic games to get kids moving, thinking critically, improving executive function, and having real-world fun. The class utilises special SuperMats, which come together to form the giant SuperBoard, and it’s on here that the games take place. The games played on and around the SuperBoard include chess, giant puzzles and mazes, card based challenges and strategic agility games utilising balls and other sports equipment.

Whilst the kids have lots of fun, they’re also developing key skills which are critical for their school and future development. You can find out more about these skills in the future skills section of this site.

Why SuperMoves?

We’re living in an age where most of our children spend a lot of time with screens. Whilst technology has incredible benefits, research is showing that passive screen time can have negative effects on cognition, as well as discouraging physical activity in children.

SuperMoves was created to address these challenges by furnishing kids with skills required to prosper in this fast changing world.

What are the Outcomes of the Program?

active bodies and minds

Designed by a team of experts for children between the ages of 4 to 8, this program has been created to support the development of key executive functions and skills in children. These are critical skills which are ideally developed early, and which have been proven to increase children’s performance in the classroom and in later life.
